Supporting education and youth development at rural orphanage
Clinics + Community + Partnerships
Foyer Saint Eustache is an orphanage located in Dolisie, a city in the western province of Niari in the Republic of Congo, that houses between 20-30 children ages 4-16. Our program here focuses on the use of soccer to promote/support education and youth development. Our programs at the orphanage are presented in two phases.
Soccer clinics: We focus on providing participants with fun activities that foster teamwork and collaboration while teaching leadership skills. We engage participants in sports-based activities that develop personal growth, creating a safe and encouraging environment where learning is not a bystander sport. In these settings youth feel comfortable sharing their opinions, asking questions, supporting one another and most importantly have FUN.
Phase one
Phase two
Living supplies support: We focus on supporting the orphanage in other ways as well, working in partnership to provide life-sustaining basic necessities related to the children’s health and welfare. Most days this means buying meals for the kids, providing them with clothing & shoes, or even laundry baskets.
